Our Story

One day, when I was still with my mentress, I was under depression, hopeless and had no one to run to. It was during fellowship service at Ojoto Mile 1, Diobu Port Harcourt. I excused myself to use the toilet. When I knelt down in the toilet to pray, the Lord gave me the name of the ministry; Golden Throne of God Ministries (G.T.G), and asked me to write it down and hide it until an appointed time. After this, I left for the university to complete my studies as a mechanical engineer.

On 29th of May 2005, GTG started in one room parlour at No 1 Bishop Johnson Street, Borikiri Town, Port Harcourt, Rivers State Nigeria. The church started with myself (Pastor Eugene Chidi Nwuche), my mum (Mrs Veronica Ngozi Nwuche) and three other sisters (Mrs Nkeiru Okafor, Late Mrs Josephine Richard). Our second meeting had Barrister Aham Eke Ejelam and Bro. George in attendance, after which Mr and Mrs Johnson Ebere joined with few other persons. In 2007, after operating from there for two years, we left the one room to a small hall at King Jaja Primary School in same Borikiri Port Harcourt.

When Rivers State Government asked churches and ministries to vacate from all Government Primary and Secondary School, our ministry GTG was also affected. In January 2009, I and my lovely wife went in search of a venue for the ministry without a dime in our pocket, and as God would have it we got one but had no money to pay. Because God was involved he used one of us who is still our present sponsor, Mr and Mrs Daniel Udofia, to pay for the venue, which is still our present venue: 1 Okwori Street, off Chief Ogbuga Road Ogbunabali, Port Harcourt, Rivers State Nigeria. This is where we have stayed for three years now till date.

By September 2011, the ministry recorded seven years in existence. GTG recently opened a branch in 46 Ikonne 2 Mende Street, off 92 Faulks Road, Aba Abia State. By God’s grace we are moving strong. This year Marks our 10th Anniversary celebration of GTG Ministries. Praise God! We sincerely believe that God will do you good in this celebration.
